South Western's Chili Cheese Dip   [ TOP - RECIPES ]

  • 1/4 cup "SOUTH WESTERN CHILI MIX"
  • 16 oz. Meltable Cheese

Melt Cheese and "SOUTH WESTERN CHILI MIX" together in a microwave bowl or if you prefer, you can do this in a fondue.


South Western's Chili Con Carne   [ TOP - RECIPES ]

  • 8 oz. jar of "SOUTH WESTERN CHILI MIX"
  • 1 1/2 lbs. of ground meat (your choice, if using poultry1 3/4 to 2 lbs.)
  • 1 can Red Kidney Beans

Follow directions on jar, add beans and cook 2 minutes longer.
Optional: Serve over white rice and top with Monterey Jack Cheese or the cheese of your choice.


South Western's Chili Stew   [ TOP - RECIPES ]

  • 8 oz. jar of "SOUTH WESTERN CHILI MIX"
  • 2 - 14 1/2 oz. cans Italian Style Stew Tomatoes
  • 2 1/2 Meat (your choice, if using poultry use 3 lbs.) - cubed into 1" pieces
  • 1 Tbsp. Oil

In oil, slightly brown meat.  Add "SOUTH WESTERN CHILI MIX", cook on medium heat for 15 minutes, add stewed tomatoes and simmer until meat is cooked and tender.  Stew will get thicker the longer it cooks.
Optional: Serve over white rice and top with Cheddar Cheese or the cheese of your choice.


South Western's Chili Stir Fry (Mixed Vegetables)   [ TOP - RECIPES ] 

  • 2 heaping Tbsp. of "SOUTH WESTERN CHILI MIX"
  • 16 oz. of fresh or frozen mix vegetables
  • 1 tbsp. oil

Heat oil, add vegetables and cook for approximately 3 minutes.  Add "SOUTH WESTERN CHILI MIX" and cook until desired texture.
Optional:  Add strips of  meat or poultry and cook thoroughly prior to adding vegetables.


South Western's Chili Tortilla Roll-ups   [ TOP - RECIPES ]

  • 4 oz. of "SOUTH WESTERN CHILI MIX"
  • Flour Tortillas
  • 3/4 lbs. Meat or Poultry
  • 1 cup of Sour Cream (optional)
  • Cheese(s) (your choice) - grated

Prepare "SOUTH WESTERN CHILI MIX" with meat as directed, let cool a bit, mix with Sour Cream, spread approximately 4 oz. over tortilla, sprinkle with cheese, roll up, place on greased sheet pan and bake at 450 degrees for 5 minutes or until crispy golden brown (or to your liking)
Optional:  cool to touch and cut into 1" pieces and serve as hors d'oeuvres.

  • 2 tbsp of "SOUTH WESTERN CHILI MIX"
  • 8 oz. Sour Cream or your choice of Blue Cheese or any other dressing

Mix together, chill and serve with fresh vegetables or chips.


South Western's Meatloaf   [ TOP - RECIPES ]

  • 4 oz. "SOUTH WESTERN CHILI MIX"
  • 1 1/4 lbs. of Ground Meat ( your choice, if using poultry use 1 1/2 lbs.)
  • 1 cup of Bread Crumbs
  • 1 Egg
  • 6 oz. of Cheese (your choice) - grated
  • 2/3 cups of Water

Mix together, form loaf on greased sheet pan or bread pan and bake at 350 degrees for about 45 minutes or until meat is cooked.


South Western's Mini Chili Corn Muffins   [ TOP - RECIPES ]

  • 2 heaping tbsp. "SOUTH WESTERN CHILI MIX"
  • 1 package of Corn Muffin Mix (or use a homemade recipe)

Mix Corn Muffin Mix as directed, add "SOUTH WESTERN CHILI MIX" and mix, pour into greased mini muffin pan (or use paper liners), and bake at 400 degrees for 8 minutes or until done.  Yields approximately 20 mini muffins (Great for hors d'oeuves)


South Western's Spicy Rice 'N Bean Burgers   [ TOP - RECIPES ]

  • 4 oz. of "SOUTH WESTERN CHILI MIX"
  • 2 tbsp. Chopped Green Onions
  • 1/4 cup Celery - Chopped fine
  • 2 tbsp. Butter or Margarine
  • 1 cup of Beans (red or white kidney) - mashed or chopped
  • 1 cup of Brown Rice - cooked
  • 1 cup Sunflower Seeds - Slightly crushed
  • 1/2 cup Cheddar Cheese (optional) - shredded
  • 1/4 cup Flour (whole wheat or white)
  • 1 Egg

Sauté onions and celery in butter for 2 to 3 minutes, add beans, prepared rice, sunflower seeds, cheese, flour, egg and "SOUTH WESTERN CHILI MIX".  Mix well, shape into 8 patties about 1/2" thick/  heat remaining butter in large skillet and cook patties slowly, turning once, until browned.
Optional: Top with a tsp. of "SOUTH WESTERN CHILI MIX" for a real spicy burger.


South Western's Spicy Vegetable Pie   [ TOP - RECIPES ]

  • 8 oz. "SOUTH WESTERN CHILI MIX"
  • 2 - 9" Deep Dish Pie Crusts
  • 3 Eggs
  • 8 oz. Ricotta Cheese
  • 1/2 cup Grated Parmesan Cheese
  • 1 tbsp Parsley
  • 1 Bell Pepper (green, red or yellow), sliced
  • 2 cups Fresh Broccoli
  • 1/2 cup Black Olives - Sliced
  • 8 oz. Mozzarella Cheese - thinly sliced
  • 1/2 cup sliced Almonds

Mix eggs with Ricotta Cheese, parmesan Cheese and Parsley until well blended, divide the mixture into the 2 pie crusts, layer with Mozzarella Cheese, Bell Pepper, Broccoli, Olives, Almonds and "SOUTH WESTERN CHILI MIX", again, dividing equal amounts into each pie crust.  Cover each with pie crust and put onto a sheet pan and bake at 425 degrees for 30 minutes or until top crust is lightly browned.


South Western's Spicy Vegetarian Style Stuffed Peppers   [ TOP - RECIPES ]

  • 4 oz. of "SOUTH WESTERN CHILI MIX"
  • 2 cups Prepared Rice (your choice of flavor or type)
  • 4 large Sweet Peppers (green, red or yellow)
  • 3 tbsp. Butter or Margarine
  • 1 Medium Onion - Chopped
  • 1/2 cup Celery - Chopped fine
  • 1/2 cup of Sunflower Seeds or Sliced Almonds
  • 1 Egg
  • 8 oz. Straw Mushrooms (canned or cooked)
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheese(s) (your choice)
  • 2 tbsp. Oil
  • 2/3 cups Water

Cook rice and set aside.  Cut open peppers and remove seeds, clean and arrange in a 9x9 baking dish with oil and a little water.  Sauté celery, sunflower seeds (or almonds) and onion in butter until tender and the remove from heat.  Stir in rice, egg, mushrooms and "SOUTH WESTERN CHILI MIX".  Stuff peppers, cover with aluminum foil and bake at 400 degrees for 30 minutes or until tender, top with cheese.

  • 2 tbsp. "SOUTH WESTERN CHILI MIX"
  • 6 Clams - Steamed and chopped
  • 1 small onion - chopped
  • 1/4 lbs. Bacon
  • 1 cup Onion and Garlic Croutons - crushed very fine.
  • 1 tbsp. Butter

Sauté onion and Bacon in Butter, add clams and sauté for a few minutes longer and remove from heat.  Mix in "SOUTH WESTERN CHILI MIX" and top with chopped CroutonsStuff shells and bake at 350 degrees for 5 minutes.
